With temperatures soaring around the area, most communities have opened cooling centers to help residents beat the heat. Here are a list of cooling centers by county for you to reference:

Spring is one of our favorite seasons of the year and it's not just because of the busy real estate market. We love all the greenery returning, the later sunsets, and being able to keep windows open at night.

Preparing for a new pet is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming! From curious kittens & mischievous pups, furry friends have a way of getting into all the places that you don't want them to go. But with a little prep work, you can make sure your home is a safe & welcoming space for your new animal friend. 

Here are a few things to think about before bringing a new pet home: 

  1. Secure Hazards
    Like with young children, make sure your cleaning products and chemicals are securely closed and your pets cannot get into them. If your new critter seems especially curious, consider child-proof locks on your cabinets. 

    Trash cans are another big temptation for pets. Choose bins with secure lids and make sure you know what foods can be harmful to your pets so they don't snag any fallen scraps.
